Tranny Fluid

I have a 84 Wagon with a 2.5l, what type of tranny fluid is used in these vehicles?

Thanks

Since you have the 2.5L, it leads me to believe you have a Wagoneer that is essentially an XJ Cherokee. If this is the case, you have two options. If it is an auto transmission, just get some ATF fluid and fill it up. Otherwise, get some gear lube that won't corrode the metals inside your tranny (ie, look at the owner's manual to see what it recommends) You should probably be OK if you were to use Pennzoil Synchromesh or Redline MT90.
