Tailgate Lifter Channel

I took my lifter channel off the tailgate window and now iam not sure what way it goes back on. Does the smooth side of the channel that goes over the bolts face the regulator or is it the grove side..ahhh

The clips that hold the regulator to the lifter go on the grooved side, hopefully that makes sense. I will take a pic when I get in the office to show what I mean...

Uh oh... I put mine on the smooth side and it works fine but my window channel trim and weather stripping is gone.
