Stock tires and speedometer

My speedometer reads 64xxx, since they only go the the ten thousands place what the easiest way to tell if its 164xxx or just 64xxx? It's a 1982 Cherokee chief with a 258ci and a 727 tranny!! Also what came stock on these for tires, brand and size?

if only gas was cheaper

Is the mileage printed on the title?

I"m going out on a limb and guessing it's 164,000 miles on the odometer. And it should be on the title.

You really have to know as much of the history of the Jeep as possible. Given that it's 31 yrs. old and 12k-15k mi. per year, it could very well be 264k or 364k miles.

Really it's the only way to tell, I bought my 401 out of a the most rusted out thrashed j-20 I've ever seen and it only had 67k on it.

You can tell a lot by pedal wear also. This is 160, 000
However yes the only way to really know is by the title, but more than likely it will say "not actual mileage"
