Squeaking causing stall
I finally rebuilt the carb on my 87 and got it adjusted to an acceptable level, but when I ran it for about 10 seconds it stalled while in fast idle. I heard some squeaking that increased right before it stalled, it was distinctly not squealing, it sounded like squeaky brakes on a car with warped rotors. It had done it a little before, but I thought nothing of it because I wanted to get the carb adjusted. Anyway, I tried to turn it over again after it stalled and with a freshly charged battery, it would click and I could hear it engage, but thats it. This happened once before, I did a compression test and it worked for a while till now.
On a side note, does anyone know what the fuel level in the float bowl should be with the horn off and the car running, the preliminary adjustment didn't cut it.
