FYI that factory AM/FM/CB is worth like 300 bucks.

Score. I actually works as well. I was impressed.

So I got the tires mounted yesterday. No rubbing. Looked great.

Had to edit the photos because they weren't picking up the black rims and tires.

Now onto the next issue. The Quadra Trac doesn't engage 4X4. It has the part time conversion.

image-2219125355.jpg

But nothing happens when I turned the switch and engaged the hubs.

What is the most common culprit? Where should I start?

If its toast what would be involved to switch to a Dana 18?

Other than that I need to switch install the Performer/Holley 670 TA, pop in the 260H, and either get the bulltear upgraded cover or use an older one I have and use the money to upgrade the ignition. Decisions decisions...

I plan on having the engine work done by mid-next week so I need to decide soon.

There are a bunch of threads on how the vacuum switching works.

This site (also posted as a link in many threads) will give you good background on Qtrac.

I think it's a 56?
It's got a crappy paint job. Tons of bubbles and bulges. The people who have painted it twice don't know what prep means.

We work on a lot of cool stuff at my uncles. He has several Hot Rods that have won many prizes.

The 32 for has a really nice 350 swap.

This 57 has a Ram Jet 350.

Those are just his collection.

The yellow one and this red one are customers cars

I ordered the BullTear timing cover with HRC gears and the dual oil filter relocation kit. I went overboard because I will later use this set up for my 401. No sense in doing things thrice.

Next Ill either go D.U.I. (just because its an easy install and a revered name).

Then a Milidon or Canton internal pickup pan.

After I do that I'll start the 401 build.

I want to run 9.5:1 but I'm debating on using forged pistons instead at 10:1 with Edelbrock heads.

Probably the Lunati 262/268 cam

Port matching the heads, machining guides, and installing rocker studs.

Then just swapping all the externals from the 360 over to the 401 and I should have a real stump puller.

The tires are 32.8" according to the first Google result for tire size converter.
The rims have a 4" back spacing.
They came off of a 4runner and worked really well.
And I thought you asked about my lift.. Which is stock springs.

They don't rub at all. Even while flexed at full clock.
But just to be safe I'm putting 4" Springs on soon.
