1978 Cherokee Cheif


Hello everyone,

New to the site, thought I would introduce myself and start with a photo of the old Cherokee. My mom bought this one new in 1978. It's been sitting in the tree line for the last 8 years and I decided to start restoring it. Contrary to the photo it's in pretty good shape and is complete. Should start the tear down this month. Has a 401 4 bbl. quadra track with 400 AT, with a/c, 35x12.5's and 4 inches of lift. I'll be needing a few replacement parts so I'm sure we'll be talking allot.

Well into the process of a resto on my trusty '77 J-10 that I've thoroughly enjoyed for the past twenty years, I experienced a cab fire. CAUTION- do not carry ammo on the floorboard of your FSJ, especially when the new exhaust clearances have been reduced! Also pictured is the "new" cab.
