I dont think its a wide track cause of the fenders. I think its supposed to be because of the gladiator grille

Yah but they never made a 4dr wide trac, I did not look that close I just guessed it had cut fenders but looking at the stance it looks to be a N/T Cherokee!! Here is my W/T Cherokee (1982 with a 258 ) 8)

if only gas was cheaper

What's wrong with the grill? I need the head light bezels and holders!! My uncle gave me a chrome grill but I like this one better

For the rims he gave me slotted waggy aluminum wheels

I am starting to fix my '76 Cherokee up to drive again and gas was a big reason I quit driving it once I purchased my '94 Grand. The Grand is pushing 200,000 now. I would be looking to purchase a lower mileage vehicle soon. I got to thinking of the price of gas versus the price of a new/newer car monthly payment. Also the cost of full coverage insurance for said new car and I would still have to put gas in it.

I still carry full coverage insurance on my owned vehicles, I checked with my agent and the '76 will be half the cost that I pay for my '94 for 6 months.

Gas is starting to look pretty cheap now......

The '76 also only has about 20,000 on a rebuilt motor. Another reason I decided to stay with the '76,

That thing is a beast!! Yah that's just my sig its a gag!! My 82 chief has the 258 is it gets 20-24 mpg!!! It's really nice!! It's very rusty and I'm afraid to drive it in Wisconsin's salty winter roads, so I think I will do some rust repair and lift it to off road it!! Then get a 90's Chevy 1500 with a v6 for winter, then I also have a truck!! Maybe a cj7 too someday

if only gas was cheaper

This is the picture after I started it up after sitting for 3-4 years. I removed, but will be reinstalling, the factory brush guard and the roof rack I made. The tire carrier is also factory. It has a Safari kit on it (factory extra gas tank). I just have to get it all hooked up then bring on the gas......

20-24 mpg is awesome. I think, if I remember right, I got about 11.5 in town.
The motor is a 1972 296hp, 4 barrel, 360 High output motor. The last of the pre smog motors and kind of rare in Jeeps in '72. AMC bought Jeep in '72 and emmissions started the same year.

Trashed by PO's, so we picked it up for $800 to fix up as a mud/offroad rig. Got the 304 that wouldn't run for **** up and purring by cleaning the crap out of the carb and running new fuel lines.

The before shot from the field we picked it up from.
