I think that's a good deal for what you got here in Texas. I was in the same boat when I was looking. There just isn't that much to choose from in Texas. Looks like up north or out west you can find some really good deals, but by the time you pay for them to be shipped here or go get them you end up paying about the same.

As for the truck, it looks good. A little TLC and you'll be golden.

Thanks for the feedback 1jeep. I agree with your assessment, and I am thrilled with the truck. The fact is, I am as guilty as the next guy of crowing about it when I hit a home-run on a purchase. However, in this case, I had done my homework, and I knew what I had to have, and how much work I was willing to do. I'm still keeping a weather eye out for the right $800 truck, but in the meantime, I have a good one at a price I can afford.

This is a friend of mines J10. He's got about $1500 in it after having to rebuild the trans. It has a T-176, 258, and 2.70 or so gears. He made some pretty cool door panels that I should have got a pic of.

Dang that's clean! But I'm glad I didn't find one so nice. I wouldn't be able to take it to the beach or wheel it. I would want to mess it up!
