I did some tradeing! I bought a 82 gmc for $200, spent about $200 putting in a spare engine in it and traded for this 1971 J-4800 gladiator. Its a 1 ton rated camper specific model. Its in great shape! aside from some deer damage.

Im gunna fix it up and keep it.

deer does a lot at 75-80MPH

it doesnt look to bad but its damaged all the way to the water pump.

Here are 2 of mine (from England), my narrow track Chief is completely stock (360 amc), only known one in the country (England is pretty small, so the jeep community is also small) altho there are a few widetracks about. It has just been a road car since i had it but took it offroad for the weekend recently and even on road tyres it was amazingly capable.

The next is my work in progress J20, 8" of suspension/body lift sittin on 44's, it looks rough but really doesnt need much to finish, and is solid as rock underneath

Im also pickin up a J10 next week, its running with an mot but does need some tidying up, will post up when i get it

(I also have a 401 CJ7 but guess this the wrong thread for that?)

Cheers for the 'awesome' dood

Wheelin at the weekend was at a 'pay & play' site, which is basically a forest owned by a farmer that has been landscaped in places for off road driving. Other than that its 'greenlaning' which is basically mud roads thru the countryside, some v tricky and some u coud do in a mobility scooter. Unfortunately we are a tiny island full of bureaucrats and ramblers so just 'wandering' isnt an option

and a Bacon sarnie is a bacon (thick cut back bacon, not streaky) in 2 pieces of white farmhouse bread, with a splash of HP (fried egg is optional)

actually, dunno if u guys can help me but the J20 is on a Q plate, which in the uk says that they cant verify the year of manufacture, obviously i have the paperwork & vin etc, so i can identify it, but before they change they need 'official' verification: any ideas where i could get that in the US?

Q plate has a kinda stigma in England as its slung on bitsa kit cars, and im not happy at a jeep bein tagged like that

Here is my J10, picked it up thurs, it was a manky red with the golden eagle decals, but i have roller brush obsession

33 mudz, 360 auto, no reverse but i have a spare box, all good otherwise apart from the bed floor, that is gonna need to be replaced as im gonna stick some seats in the bed under the roll bar facing back as i have 4 boys and none of them will appreciate bein left at home, just cant decide between some buckets of a 'rock n roll' bed out of a dayvan as that will obviously double up as a bed if we away for the weekend

already swapped the grill to a black razor, and replaced that white wheel with the original (had a puncture), but tbh will be paintin the wheels anyway

You should get the seats from an old subaru brat they had in the bed of those they had some rocking handles attached

I love the stance of this jeep, do you have anymore info on it. Like tire size or lift. I want my wagoneer to look just like it.
