Refinishing Wheels

I'm ready to put some elbow grease into refinishing my wheels and found some great guides online about how to do so.

Is there any way to accomplish this without removing the tires? Or do I need to remove everything from each wheel to get a good result?

if you want them to last I would dismount, have them blasted then powder coated. Unless you spray them with good paint, clear from a gun it won't last. Solvents, break cleaner etc all eats rattle can stuff instantly. I had my wj wheels redone for 45 each. Sent them off one day had them back the next that included dismount and recount of tires. Balancing job sucked so ran it to discount for a balance job. But hub cap Annie here in Austin did it they sent them off to place in san Antonio that does them overnight. Media blast check for true, then powder coated. For 200 bucks it was hardly worth the time and material for me to mess with them. And they look brand new now
