Rebuild time!

Tore down spare motor, and now the fun starts!!
.030 pistons, valve job .
Performer manifold, and a spreadbore Holley.
summit 8600 cam and Hedman headers.
I am going to use a summit HEI dist as well, any input on this dist?
Then duals and flowmasters!

anyone need a 360 core to rebuild?

Machine shop needs a few weeks to get to my block,
so I am getting the parts ready.
going to put battery behind Pass wheelwell ,
and put a flex fan on too.
Maybe I'll get some decent fuel economy too!
Thank you, C
really tempted to put a blue bottle in too....

Got block, heads, pistons and crank back today, and everything looks great!!
I am stoked.
Heads got valve job and surfaced the decks, rods got new pistons, and they resized the big end, and polished the crank.
Cant say enough good things about Davis machine, in Paris KY.
Going to order cam and new fuel pump, and will start putting back together shortly!
Going with the Summit 8600 cam, and I'll put a new torque converter on as well.
Machine shop also advised using break in additive, so that will go in crankcase also.
Thank you, C

Just out of curiosity what did you do to the heads and how much is invested in them? I am on the fence about waiting a few more weeks and just buying the Edelbrock heads vs. rebuilding my 360 heads. I have matching springs/retainers etc to go into them but thinking by the time I mill them, do the valves/guides/seals and port and match them I will be at least half way to new heads? Doing the porting myself but will have the guides/seats done at the machine shop which runs around 450 if the guides are bad. If the valves are also bad then add even more to it.
