new QT cone clutch assembly?

I have a 1977 Cherokee wide track that has a bad cone clutch in the QT. I had a jeep certified mechanic tell me that the cones and washers wear together and that once they wear out the whole unit should be replaced. He had a few junked cones around and tried to put one together for me, but it is doing exactly what he said it would probably do. It clunks when I take a turn. Was wondering if some one knows where I can get a new or rebuilt unit. At one time I had a site that had rebuilt units but my computer crashed and I lost the web site. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Don't know where you can find rebuilds these days but I have 2 complete q-tracs if you're interested. One from my 78 and one from my 79 golden eagle with low range on it. They both have only 48k miles on them. I don't know why I kept them all these years. Guess I'm a pack rat. Let me know if you're interested. I'm not gonna use them any time soon I don't think. Oh, they both had new chains put in!

you wont find new or rebuild clutches/cones anywhere...unless of course you find an NOS case on ebay. Best option is to put in a milemarker part time conversion kit.

I still have several good used Q-trac Diff. units. They were removed back in 1978-82 to install part time units. (I was working at a Jeep dealership at the time). I only kept the units that tested (per the TSM) to be good ones.

$100.00 + shipping if you are interested.

You might want to try this place to see if they have any rebuilt units available:
http://www.willys.net/html/transfer_case.html
If not, there is a complete NOS QT on ebay for $725. Sorry I don't have a link for that.
