Well, it's now on the Seattle area Craig's List -- it is the XJ based smaller Wagoneer Limited from what might be the first year they named them, before regular Cherokee XJ was used. It seems to be in great shape, with new steel wheels and mostly towed miles, it should have a lot of engine life left in it. Who needs one? Get to Mister CEE right away.

$2500 would be a fair price for a fast sale, and perhaps someone will pay over $3000 but it's not one for rock climbing, so it'll have to be an old car aficionado, and we all have too many projects. That being said, we're way far away, but have friends out there, so if it needs to go quickly at a fair price, let us know.

Yes, it is the smaller (XJ) version. I knew that from the "get go" but someone (a mod?) moved it here and, I didn't question that action.

You say that you know folks in the PNW who might be interested? Mom is moving when this house is sold (hopefully closes on the 21st) and the Wagoneer Limited needs a new home. That said, (although I'm not the owner) I don't want mom to "give it away".

Let me know

Thanks

P.S. Tried to shoot you a PM but can't as my message count is not high enough.

OK, keep me posted. I assume it runs but may not have current tags? Is that right ? My friends are near Olympia, WA, but could arrange transportation, it's just a bit hard being too far away. These are good models, but like anything, time takes it's toll on rubber parts, etc. Let me know if it starts and runs well enough to drive 50 miles, and if so I can try to arrange something with Temp Tags, if we agreed on a price. It's not really a collectors item, though it is unique among XJ Cherokees. I think you should lower Craig's list price to under $5k and maybe someone will jump. OK to email me on dickst@aol.com

Yes, it runs just fine. As it is perfectly driveable, the tags are current. It has brand new battery and 4 new tires with less than 100 miles on them.

If I'd not already had my own car at mom's house, I'd not have hesitated to drive it back to my house in Las Vegas (1100 miles).

As the house sale was final, yesterday, neither mom nor I are there any longer. Nor is the Jeep. Couldn't very well leave it parked in what is (now) someone else's garage .. at least without surrendering rights to whatever was left on the property to the new owners.

As a result, it had to go somewhere. It is now sitting, on consignment, at a car lot in Bremerton, Wa.

If your friends remain interested, I can supply the name, and location, of the lot and its owner's phone number.
