Those springs actually look new. I'm thinking the PO might have swapped some out.

I ran 31" without lift. Rubbed a lot. Went with 2" lift. Still rubbed at full turns and off roading. Finally went with 4" and I can drive worry free with 31"s all day. 4" sounds like a lot but it just brings you up to the ground clearance of a new Cherokee.

I tried to go the easiest cheapest way but no dice.

31x10.50 no issues stock. Then lifted

30x9.5's fill out the wheel wells very nicely! does rub the OEM grille guard at full lock. Not really noticable, just noticed the scuff marks in the powder coat one day.

I too ran 31's/unknown aluminum rims from the JY with zero lift and only rubbed at full lock. Never enough to damage the tire, never touched a bit of sheet metal.
