My Wife's Dream Car - 1989 GW

For years now my wife has been telling me that she has always wanted a GW. And I always responded with a sense of sarcasm and disbelief. A few months ago I started reading this forum and researching this car and one day ~ 3 weeks ago I let my wife know that she was going to be a jeep owner. I purchased the car after extensive conversations from a guy in Washington.

The car was received today by Novak where it will have a full engine, power train, etc, etc conversion for the next 4-6 weeks before shipment down to Texas.

I'm not sure if there is any or much value in the parts and engine coming out of the car. The car apparently runs fine with no known issues but I will have no use for the parts. Not looking to make any money so if there are any Jeep owners that could use (not sell for a profit) these parts in their jeep let me know.

The GW has 77k miles. If there is any interest on the engine conversion let me know and I can post pics of the progress.

Heck Yeah! Your're getting a Grand Wagoneer!
Heck Yeah! Your're fixing it up and giving it to your wife!
Heck Yeah! We'd love to see pics of the engine conversion. What are the plans?
I am sure someone could use the engine/drive train. If you don't get any takers here, post up on www.ifsja.org. Lots more fullsize jeep folks over there.
Welcome to the full size jeep madness

Will do. I can't seem to register on the other site.

I'm going with an L33 engine and can't remember the other "descriptions" of parts. You will quickly figure out that I'm not a "car" guy. I have gotten excited about this project though.

The other site is using old software and can't be upgraded. Due to SPAMBOTS TAD, the guy who administrates it, has to personally activate each user. So read the 'new users read this' sticky.

Your the man ur wife will love you forever. I'm a proud owner of a 89 as well and love it and I could use the engine and parts but I'm in Nebraska and shipping would be pricey anyways keep us posted I'm sure you have made her very happy way to go. I know mine is' nt new but I love mine by far a awesome ride.

No problem. The conversion is a 4-6 week process. I will get you a list of all that I'm replacing and just tell me what parts you want. Send me your email address.
