my newest addition, 73 wag.

hello all. i finally, after 4 weeks, received my FSJ.(time documented in the "where to look" thread) i will be transforming her into a DD. she needs some love. so far, $1400 to buy, $1500 shipping.

it took two 20 oz bottles of fuel to get it off the truck. shes thirsty. needs fuel lines to run. so thats this weekend project. here are a few new pics.

cart, horse. does it really matter shes not running right yet? but the grill is bent and broken. can just the center portion of the grill be swapped to say, the razor grill, yet keep all the wrap around side markers?

Congrats bud! I'm glad you finally got it there. Sorry about the janky *** aquafina bottle, but there was nowhere to fit a 2 gallon can under the hood. And now the fun begins. judging by your YJ, I'm sure you know you'll be emptying every pocket.

The grill looked a little bent but not bad or broken when I was there. You can repair it, and you can swap certain grilles and keep the wrap arounds. Heck, I know folks have even modded other grills to work with the wrap arounds. Seen a few on IFSJA. The Razor specifically should work with the wrap arounds but i cant say for sure.

Good luck, and here goes! Also its cool that you have bucket seats. I was a bit jealous about that.

maybe just replace the cylinder? They are like $12 bucks and it takes like half an hour. Or you can just pull it and clean it. Or you can pull the ignition switch from the base of the column and see if the key turns easier without it, and maybe replace that.

I dunno, didnt notice when I fiddled with it. I did notice the sweet *** wooden shifter and turn signal handles though. That shifter one is cool, with the AMC logo.

Marn, want that too? thinking of doing a center console like the super wagoneers and adding a floor shifter.

B = Wiper

C = probably not stock

E = tailgate glass

G and H = floor vents

K = not stock, could be for the fuel gauge between two tanks, or for some old non existent lights or something.

- use the door key to unlock the glove box.

- locking hubs are NOT stock on a q-track, and the unit will be damaged if they are driven around unlocked, unless the q track has had the part time conversion. I dont know much about that though.

EDIT: same key for doors, but still wont turn the glove box.

I honestly have almost zero knowledge of anything involving quadratrac

Your glove box should be made of cardboard, and more likely than not its not there anymore.
Try reach your hand up behind the dash and see if its still there. If not. You should be able to read up and unlatch it from the inside.
