Had a few FSJ sightings while driving around town the last few weeks. First was a Wagoneer I first saw while riding my bike around my own neighborhood, met the owner super nice guy bought the wag from Idaho somewhere. Then today I went to wallyworld and parked the truck all by itself way out in the parking lot. Then came out to find a nice Cherokee parked next to me! waited around for the owner for a while but gave up and left.

Haven't worked on the truck much lately, but this afternoon did some grinding and straightening on the new front valance. Stripped the paint off and will prime and paint it probably next weekend. Need to find a straight bumper end too, probably have one shipped from that Jeep junkyard in CA.

This looks fairly straightened out, might try my hand at some bondo to fill in the low spots.

Wow I can't believe it's been since May that I've posted about the truck!

The worn out battery has finally died, been nursing this one for about a year now with a battery tender, it finally gave up.

And on a very sad sad note, the previous owner of my truck (he bought it brand new and was the only owner 'til me) has passed away. He was a good man, a good husband, and a good father. God bless you Bob, I'll take good care of your Jeep as good as I can! http://www.elynews.com/2015/08/18/robert-bob-swetich/

Well it's been a while! Found a couple Wags at the pic a part and pulled off another valance, a battery tray and door sill plate. THis valance is in much better shape than the other bent one I was hammering on, but it also had a different grille, so I'd have to do some mods on the grille mounts. And the headlamp rings, not sure yet.

Truck had been running a little rough lately and also coughing and hesitating under load so I thought something ignition related had went bad. Replaced the old original ignition module with a new one, no change. Now I have a spare at least.

Next tried the coil. Ding ding we have a winner! The old one looked like it could have been bouncing off the valve cover, maybe that's what happened but it runs great now!

And the bad news. I'm still very upset with myself over this.

The truck was parked halfway up the into the garage (driveway steep incline) next to the baby Jeep. It was running so good, and was going to go for a spin around the neighborhood, I shut the engine off, parking brake on even though it doesn't work all that great, and stuck it into 2nd gear and left the drivers door open in front of baby Jeep. Took wheel chock #1 off, walked to the other side, took wheel chock #2 off.

You know what happened next.

Had to sprint to the brake pedal and just as I slammed the brakes there was a CRUNCH and I watched the door bend in ways it should not bend.

I was planning on taking this fender off anyway to straighten the front but this is more darn work due to my own stupidity!

Thankfully my Dad the Super Mechanic was here to help get the door opening and closing again. I would have unbolted the door and left it in the bed otherwise!

Front part of fender messed up anyway.

Sure does, there's no way in hell I am going to pay their $400 ransom! Maybe when I get a whole lot of extra time I'll try to repost some pics on the site here instead. I have some other forum threads that are ruined now too.

Also something weird is the pics DO still show up on the jeepforum app.
