MC 4350 carb issue -

MC 4350 carb issue

We have a 77 cherokee 360 4 barrel, that we have recently replaced numerous parts-ignition module, coil,spark plug wires,distributor(cap,rotor),fuel pump,fuel lines and sending unit. After having several problems with a new Edelbrock carb, we decided to rebuild the existing carb. After finding the right kit and spending hours on it, the jeep starts but keeps shutting down when we put it into gear. Not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions? And all the vac lines were checked and hooked up properly.

How's the transmission? It could be a bad flex plate or an internal issue. If it is the TH400 Transmission, they are only about $800-900 to rebuild.
