Jeepster Commando

Year is unknown to me at this time. But I have discovered what looks to be a jeepster commander in a nearby abandon house. Has v6- auto trans, what looks to be dana 44 in the rear. Has factory plow set up on it, and has 44,xxx on the clock. Has lots of detailing down the sides, and has wood paneling on the inside in some areas. Rust is surprisingly not bad. On the underside anyway. Some surface on the hood and roof area. Has been off the road since 1991. If this jeep was able to be at my disposal to have, i would like to know what I should do with it. Price wise to resell as is. Or fix to run and sell as running vehical. Any insite or more detail on these would be great. Thanks I am a cherokee guy, and if it came down to it, i may just want the rear end, and part out the plow and rest to scrap. Thanks

this jeep is awesome - please obtain, restore, and keep it! what engine does it have? you said v-6, do you mean the inline 6? (im no expert, but i dont recall v6's in fsj's). even if you get it running you could prob get a few hundred out of it as a plow truck, but old classy jeeps like that deserve better. just my opinion.

I don't know a lot about commandos but didn't they come with a 225 Buick V6?

If it's a V6 then it's most definitely a 225 Odd fire V6. Go check out; they have a pretty good Commando forum. I browse around there for our '73 Commando (C104 aka Bullnose Commando)

Without pics I can't tell you what year it is but more than likely it's a '66-'71 Jeepster Commando (aka C101).

Here's a '69 for reference...
