Jeep/Grand Wagoneer mechanic/electrical in Chicago?

I'm looking for a shop/mechanic to take my 87 GW to and have the wiring cleaned up. My near term issue is I don't have tail lights (do have break lights) or dashboard lights.

Any help or recommendations appreciated.

You can reach me at scott.golas@gmail.com

Have you tried changing the bulbs tail light bulbs? They can be burned out.

And try turning your headlight switch side to side with the lights on? Mine started working after I did that for a little while.

Did you check your fuses?

I hadn't checked bulbs, seemed odd that they would both go out simultaneously and I'd have break lights?

I did check fuses under dash (to left of steering column). That said I was never able to specifically identify the fuse that handled such.

Read recently something about checking "the fusible links at the starter solenoid" as possibly having an impact on lights?

Not at all. Happens more often than you think. ( lights burning out at same time)

If you can't figure out which fuse is which make sure they are all good and replace and burnt ones.

Might as well ask since I dont have immediate access to GW, is it easy to check/change tail light bulbs on 87 GW, or are the hard to reach?

Two Phillips head screws. Lens comes off. There they are.
