?J for the commando

My wife got me good the other day. We (she) was learning the "J" names for jeeps, cj..yj..xj..etc.
then as we went to my g-pa's house, I pointed out a commando I would like to get my hands on. "whats the 'j' name for that ?" she says.
Oh the bruised ego!!!!!!! After years of her putting up with me "knowing" about Jeeps, I had no answer. I guess I could have lied but I am not that way, I had to let her laugh! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />
so what is the two letter designation for the commando?
thanks, jeff

The j code for the Commando is "M". I wanted to learn all of these, too, so I wrote them all down along with years of production. Mindless stuff to amuse you when you're on a plane!

YJXJBill- have to disagree with you. I believe the code for the Comanche is MJ, not the Commando. The Commando never did have a "J" code, it was known as the C-101 and later models, the C-104. The earlier Jeepster of the late 40s was known as a VJ. Hope this helps.

You are absolutely right J4Grand! I took the question to be about the Comanche (since it was in pickups) without really reading the name! C-101, C-104 for Commandos, MJ for Comanches, and new glasses for me!
