how to pass emissions with a 86 jeep wagoneer

I have an 86 wagoneer and it won't pass emissions, the CO% is to high any suggestions or how can I lower the idle.

Try this, change the oil(at a quick lube place) on the way to the testing station. New oil will absorb almost ALL of your engines emissions for the first few hundred miles. Make sure your engine is completely warmed up. The hotter the engine the better, even a piece of cardboard over the radiator wil help it run hotter for the test. I always do it like that and never had one fail. Hope this helps.....Dan
