Got Laid off Monday- Time to hop up the 360!!!

So here is the parts list I ordered today.
I have an HP Holley 750 sitting new in the box. Going with the stupid big cam 8601, springs, retainers, going to yank and cleanup the heads, lap the valves and do the seals while im in there. Perf RPM intake. Similar cam grind and intake etc that i have on my 442 olds 358 which makes over 400ft/lbs by 2k so yah i have heard all about how the cam will be too big etc. It wont when setup right. 3.31 gears. I will add a 2400 stall with a 4L80 once I land the new gig. I will roast these 31's for a 1/2 a block from a dead stop.

Sorry to hear about the lay off Super, but it looks like your adjusting well
That's a lot o cam, are you going to use the stock exhaust manifolds. My waggy after the cam still wouldn't spin a tire with the bumper against a tree. After the Holley/ Edel 2150, I have to feather the throttle at the lights, and it pulls hard all the way up to some unknown rpm. I don't see a t-chain on the list

That should be Edel 2131 intake, 2150 is history

hijacking.
Does anyone know what problems would arise with lift over.5?
What are the limits?
I want to run the Big Voodoo cam but have heard mixed things about head work.

Rock, on your 90 where does your factory temp guage sit normally? Mine rides just above the blue zone. After 40 min in hwy it will rise up about one more needles width above that. I have a 185 stat. Factory fan new clutch and factory.radiator but its also new. I need to find that air dam for under the bumper. Planning on adding my dual electrics when I redo the top end

I can see a sliver of black between the needle and the white line that borders the blue. I'm guessing that's 185-190, that is what the IR guage reads as well, +/- 3º. If I'm crusin at 70-75, I go up a needle width also, so I'm thinking that's normal. Before the air dam it was climbing to the center mark at 60, and above that at higher speeds. I was running a half-0-shroud, but one wrong palm placement got rid of that. It didn't make any difference to the cooling that I can tell.

Mine never budged running between 70-85 870 miles back to Texas. 401 .030 over. Summit universal Aluminum radiator, Milidon high flow water pump, 160* thermostat, 91 GW w/ac HD fan clutch, no shroud, stock fan, bumper gum shroud.

Unfortunately I haven't heard anything good about cheap headers. The people that have made them work had to mess with them. Like cutting the flanges between each port, cutting grooves around each port, or just throwing them out and getting Doug's.

As far as fitment I am not sure.

I am about to learn how to port and do a valve job myself. I am excited to learn about this stuff
