Fuel Injection and PCM

Hi everyone

I am in the process of deciding exactly what I want in Jeep Wagoneer. Two things I do not want are fuel injection or a PCM/Computer. It is my understanding that Jeep never put fuel injection in the Wagoneer ( 1963-1991). Is that correct? The other issue is a PCM/Computer. Can someone alot more knowledgeable then me tell me what year Jeep started putting PCMs in their wagoneers? With that information I can narrow down my search for a Jeep. Thanks in advance.

No EFI, no computer anything.
Does have electronic ignition with a control module (post 73), but that's it, and if that's a concern, many guys carry a backup module with them.

Yep, 74 and up will be running an ignition module. Carry a spare if you're worried.

Pre 74 will be points style ignition.

Well it ain't just the smoke and the traffic jam that makes me the bitter fool I am But this four-wheel buggy is A-dollaring me to death.
For gas and oils and fluids and grease, And wires and tires and anti freeze....And them accessories, Well honey, that's something else!
Well I figured it up and over a period of time, This four thousand dollar car of mine, Cost fourteen thousand dollars And ninety-nine cents, well now!

Not entirely true...I believe Cruise Control is run by a computer, at least in the late models. My '90 has a yellow box under the dash for it. But you can always disconnect it if you really want no computer

Not really a computer, as such, but more a module similar to what's found in the ignition system. Leaves only you to troubleshoot/adjust if the engine isn't running right.

The 4.2L has a computer for the BBD carb. Turn key to on (not start) and unplug it, then do Nutter Bypass or HEI dist to fix the timing.
