do i need an adapter to put a dana 20 T-case on my wagoneer that has a quadra trac?
and how much wider is a normal width axle vs a narrow track axle?

Yes, a different adapter is required.

From what vehicle are you considering to be "normal" width?

FSJ are either wide-track or narrow-track and it's about a 4" difference between the two.
