well my neighbor has a full sized cherokee siting in his back yard and i have wanted it for a long time. But he has this weird connection with his cars, when something happens to them, he parks them behind his barn and lets them rot away. (He has a 69? road running back there too that was his first car) Well a couple weeks ago i was talking to my dad and i said i would like to buy it, He said he was going to talk to him later and would tell him. Well he talked to him and he told my dad that he would sell it cheap and wanted to get rid of it. Cheap in my mind is like under 800 bucks, but i think i could get it for 500 easy.
So...what sould i look for? As i said, it has been sitting for at least 10 years, so i dont expect it to be perfect. My dad said that he thought this guy said the engine was blown. How hard is it to swap in a 350 chevy? my uncle has one laying around that i could get for cheap, maybe even free.
If i buy it it will be a trail rig manly, but it will have to be fixed up so it looks good
as a any true jeeper would, i have spent some time researching lifts and other cool stuff for this so i can start to put it together in my mind.
I figure even if it is about to rust in half, i could take the axles, (d44's i think, right?) and put them under my xj. and scrap the rest. But im hoping that its reparable, becuase i really like old jeeps. Last time i seen it, it was still in good condition, but that was about 3 years ago. so im keeping my fingers crossed.
:thankyou:
Oh and if anyone has pics of there full sized jeeps, post them up, i would like to see what this could look like:cheers2:
