Does your rear dome light work? If not, I would check your fuses. Also chevk the wiring leading from the fuse block to the B pillar to see if there are any breaks. Otherwise it might be a wire broken underneath the headliner.

Try the fuse first or look at your rear dome light switch...sometimes the contacts in it can get dirty causing the lights to stay off...

The rear switch can cause the front not to work? I think I checked all the fuses earlier last year when I bought it, the lights never worked for me

I dont know about the switch mine would control the front and rear lights...how about your headlight switch? Mine is the twist knob type where you turn it all the way to the left and the lights come on. Could that be it?

Oh ok I will try the head light switch! The lower dome lights by your feet come on when I open the door. Yah I think the dome lights will be my next mission for this rig!

interior aren't too difficult. There's 12v at the light. It gets the ground through the door switches/headlight switch. The wires are usually wrapped in the plastic wrap, so they're easy to tell which ones they are.

12v constant; switch connects the ground
fuse, bulbs, plugs, and wires. Since your floor lights come on, your switches are good.

Good point I forgot about the floor lights. There must be a broken wire going to the dome lights.

Ok I will take a look at those when I get a chance! My uncle is a big jeep guy ( he's Ristow on ifsj ) he said he thinks there is a connection under the carpet on drivers side that goes to the fuse panel he said the wire is probably rotted along with the connector. My carpet is still in but it's fragile and don't want to pull it and find out that there is no wire under it! Do you know where the power enters the top?

I don't know what the ( b ) pillar is. Where does the wire come from? Under the floor?

The wire should come from the fuse box, run under the door weatherstrip, enter at the bottom of the pillar behind the door, then exit out the top of the pillar. My guess is that the connector/wire at the bottom of the pillar broken or rotted.
