I called Moog customer service this morning and explained what had happened and "Chuck" said he was very sorry for the situation, send the ball joint back to the seller for a warranty claim and they don't provide nuts, they are provided with the ball joints. I explained that I specifically sourced Moog products based on past experience and he said sorry, if you would buy your parts from a brick and mortar store you would be able to walk in and get a new ball joint. Even when I explained that I needed to get the parts installed this weekend, he said there was nothing he could do. I made it clear that I did not agree and if Moog would not make it right, I will not buy another Moog product the rest of my life. His response, okay.

Not a bit of Jeep work this weekend. I got a wild hair and decided to level a good portion of my backyard that had some serious high spots and a valley (river) running between the high spots and diagonal across the property.

My first thought was to rent a skid steer but 195/4hrs changed my mind. So I rented a beast of a tiller Friday night and worked over the high spots. I went over them again Saturday morning and spent the remainder of the day dragging the road grader behind my garden tractor to level it. It turned out pretty good but there are some low spots I can level later when I topdress.

I finished it off over-seeding with Bermuda and getting the sprinklers ready for a week of watering.

Next weekend I plan to paint the axles.

Your foot must be much better to be able to do all that. Next time though Dave let your hair down and get the skid steer and have some fun

Jim, I can't win for losing. Yesterday I was on campus for an inspection and it was very windy and especially so between two buildings, the wind tried to pull my hat off and I snapped my arm up and back to grab it and felt a pop and burning sensation in my shoulder, I didn't sleep worth a flip and can't lift my arm. I am no stranger to rotator-cuff injuries and this stinks, it will take weeks if not months to get back to normal.

I think I may have dislocated my shoulder last week, last night I was trying to stretch the muscles and felt another pop but much of the pain subsided. I have never dislocated any joint so I am not really sure, does not matter though because I feel much better today. Started early and finished early, two coats JD Blitz Black over two coats epoxy primer and installed the axles back under the frame. Only knocked an axle off the jack stands once and had my feet out of the way. I am bushed, need to take a shower, drink a Shiner, eat dinner and go round up the correct length bolts for the springs and other frame parts.

Beautiful, sir! Keep up the good work, maybe it'll help exercise that shoulder.
