only lined the cargo area, i will line the rest when i replace the carpet. Also built new size panels out of Luan and built a cargo cover.

Al's Liner

This pic is how it looks after a year of use. Only wear is on the taigate where the latches on my tool box cut through it.

Yup. Has 2 wing nuts holding it to the fender wells and is held in by the slope of the tailgate at the other end. Undo the wing nuts lift it up at a funky angle and slide it out.

I have dimensions and whatnot if you want.

Anyone use monstaliner or herculiner? Also, how much noise is to be expected if removing carpet and replacing with liner?

I picked up my rig with Rhino liner and diamond plate. It needed an outside paint job really bad. Red wasn't my first choice but I realized the 'A' pillar was color coded to the body. Add to that jambs, hood, tailgate, etc and I decided to go with 'red' but not the original color. I also had them paint the rear interior part.

No carpet is loud. But I have since loaded it up with totes full of stuff. ALso, I can turn the stereo up to 'eleven' to cover the noise.

The exterior is slightly custom. I went with the chief look but didn't do as low with the black as stock. I also kept the badging off:

Here is a good shot of the interior painted, the diamond plate and the non-repainted part of the tail gate. At a glace you don't notice the color is not the same:

Here is another shot show the color difference isn't too off. Also one of the amps that helps to cover the noise.

I made some panels to replace the diamond plate:

Again, you don't really notice the difference in the jamb color compare to the repainted interior. The floor/wheel wells are rhino lined. The panel is something I made and covered in vinyl

I did add some 'chief' badges. They are not in the stock location. I painted the red 's' to match the color of the jeep

And in the end, I added some custom 'arizona pin stripes'....

Most of them washed off... some didn't.

I really wanted to paint it the same 'dark copper' color as my wagoneer. It was factory but unusual and much more subtle. But I didn't want to not paint the jambs/hood/etc. It just became cost prohibitive.

So I embrased the red theme. Tool box, gas can, roll bar covers and even my tie down straps are red. I went red with the CB antenna and have a small red cooler but need to find a larger red one. You can see them in the pic:

I looked around for some red buckets but didn't have much luck.

The headliner is the next thing. You can see it in one of the pics. I am going to recover it. Probably in vinyl since it wipes off easy. Here in AZ dust is an issue. It's going to be a little bit of a bear to get out with the roll bar in place and I am considering adding some kind of overhead thing for some easy to reach switches. When I am strapped in with the harness I can't reach anything mounted to the dash. Mostly not a big deal but an ARB/Aux Light switch in reach would be nice. I am kicking around the idea of adding a tablet mount too and running power from the roof.

I also have some roof rack supports I need to add in so it won't just be a 'day' project.

Nice rig man! Wonder can you use the separator trim like in the wagoneers to make the headliner 2 pieces? Assuming its all one long one like my WJ.... Ugh that was a nightmare. Like that vinyl idea for the dust, Austin is bad w that too.

Thanks. Yeah, it's two pieces. I might look for something black/red for one or the other sides. Kind of a cool accent. And maybe a few LED lights.
