Clutch linkage on a 78 cherokee

ok I'll try to keep this short. On my cherokee the slack adjuster under the dash broke.(it was probly broke for the past 11 years just run in on 2 remaining threads to hold it in place) After 3 days of searching and not finding one i broke down and took it to a machine shop. Where they welded the 2 halves back together. My question may be a little on the odd side but when i put the slack adjusr back in I went to atatch the linkage to the z bar and was amazed to find that it popped in place. Just to check so dont get stranded but is it really just P.F.M. that holds the clutch linkage or, am I missing parts and or some strange mystery of existance

P.F.M. is a short P.C. way of saying Pure (use your imagination for the F) Magic

i did get the linkage under the dash welded back together and the linkage to the Z Bar seamed to snap into place so it is up and running at the time of this message any parts resources and or other things to look for would be helpful
