clunking noise when turning

So when I turn to the left my jeep makes a clunking type noise. I do need to change the axel shaft U joint on the passanger side doing that on sunday. could the ball joint on the driver side be going bad on me? How do I check that. How do I check the U joint on the driver side to see if that is going out? The only reason I know the passanger side is bad is because I can see the bearing caps are about to fall off.

If its "clunking" when your rolling, axle u-joints, wheel bearings.
If its "clunking" when your still, ball joints, spring bushings, possibly tie rod but that's a far reach.
Jack it up and try to pull the bottom of the tire up. Get in there with a small pry bar and see what moves
