So I found this Cherokee sj I'm intrested in buying but not sure if its the best idea, I need advice.
What I know is it was a Forrest service truck
36" tsl's (bald)
I think 3" lift
Wench/ aftermarket bumper
Original l6 and 4 speed
I wanna say I saw 176*** miles
He is asking 3000
I only want this truck to go off road and intend on
Swapping to bbc...
So what should I offer? These Cherokees are very rare where I'm at it actually the only one ice seen aroun here that's not a wagoner and there's no other trick I want...
unless it's got a pair of ARBs in some 1ton axles, and a f/i 350, don't give him more than 1200. If you really want a cherokee, start looking further away. Craigslist lets you search the whole country! lots of FSJs in the reno/tahoe/carson area.
That's definetly a lot more reasonable. Only difference between Cherokee and Wagoneer is number of doors.
You can probably get him down to 2000 or 1500 depending on what's wrong with front axle.
Yes and that grill on that old Wagoneer is really nice. Either way I want to do a Chevy conversion.
Any opinion on a big block or small block Chevy with muncie 4?? ( in the Wagoneer or Cherokee)
drum brakes on the wagoneer? if its closed knuckle id definitely consider an axle swap, and that could snowball and lead to a pretty big investment. i wouldnt do a typical sbc swap but i guess its tuff to argue.
