caster

do any of you guys know the caster angle on a 86 wagoneer axle. for some reason i am thinking it is zero degrees. It is in my wrangler now and is obviously not right because my steering is not returning to center and also doesnt handle well. Any ideas

Howdy. I believe the caster is 7 degrees. We are talking knuckle on the tube right?

They "should" be at about 6-8 degrees positive. I say "should" because they aren't always. The last one that I narrowed sat at zero with the spring perches level. Of course the spring perches aren't always level when they're attached to the springs, so that really is a good thing to rely on. Your best bet is to check it yourself with an angle finder or let an alignment shop tell you.

Thanks, i guess i really should get an angle finder. I was just wandering because my steering isnt right and wandered if that could be the problem.
