Anyone install an edelbrock carb/intake setup on a v8 with auto trans?

I just put an edelbrock performer Intake and carb on my 84 J10 with the 727 auto trans. Im having problems with the kickdown linkage not being long enough tho. Anyone know of any linkage brackets that extends it out? I know that the linkage itself extends but not enough. I really dont want to buy the Lokar cable kits. Trying to do this on a budget. I already had the carb and found the intake cheap so I really dont have a whole lot into it and trying to keep it that way. Anyone got pics or part numbers that work or custom made brackets that work? I already checked out ChrisHagers photos but he has the manual trans? I would even be happy if someone pointed out another thread. Thanks.

I'm running a Holley first off, but same issue for kickdown.
I had to cut and weld throttle bracket for offset and length. The kickdown bracket I made a 1-1/2" extention (basically a long oval). I do belive that Edelbrock makes an extended pin for the carb for under $20.
