!964 J300 Gladiator - New Owner

Yesterday I picked up a 64 J300. Very complete minus motor, tranny, T Case. This has been sitting in a tool shed since 1990. The guy just got tired of looking at it.

I own a few CJ's, two XJ, and some other stuff. So I am breaking new ground.

Preliminary plans are modest. I have no plans of chopping up the body. I do plan to either beef up the D44's or replace with something better, SOA, go with a V8-Auto, and heavy T case. Will add a full interior cage. Freshen up the body.

I want to end up with a respectable off road only rig. I may have some parts for sale along the way.

Any first hand info you can pass along for part sourcing and specifications would be very greatly appreciated.

I've been married so long I don't bother looking
both ways before crossing the road.

eh, I'm a Ford guy, so that probably won't happen. Nothing against it, would be cool and all.

As far as budget, I don't try to think about it that way, just gets depressing.
