89 grand wagoneer engine/trans rebuild???

I have had the truck for almost 10 years and love it, but she needs a complete overhaul, leaks like crazy and to replace all the gaskets, rear seal, trans service, etc they want over $2k, so if I am going to invest that much into a car with 150k, I plan to spend a little more and rebuild or buy a rebuilt motor and have it installed. Can anyone recomend someone in Southern California who rebuilds jeep motors / transmissions or could install one well? I know there are a million mechanics who CAN work on these cars, but I want it done right and want to enjoy driving the car, not driving the car to the shop! Thanks in advance for any help.
