78 Cherokee

I might be getting a 78 v8 cherokee for free.

The catch is that it has some body rust and it has an intermittant problem where sometimes it will crank but some times it wont.

The guy who is giving it to me has explained it as it runs great after he put in a fuel pump but he thinks something doesnt always catch in the steering colum so sometimes it cranks and starts and sometimes it doesnt.

I didnt actually get to witness the problem so i cant really describe it better.

Ill probably take it anyway.

What do you all think?

It's probably the neutral safety switch.
