3 Point Seat Belts

I have 4 children and I am a little worried about the safety of the lab belts on long trips. I wanted to see if any guys in here have gone from the lap belts to a 3 point belt in a vehicle like the 73 wagoneer.

I am wondering where to buy them, how they made the application work in their vehicle, where they bolted the top harness to, etc.

Any feedback would be awesome!

Not really safe from what I understand to add em to b pillars so I'd find seat belts integrated into seats or add roll car and some five point harness but that's only for four of you

there is a big thread called Rear Belts Again or a link to it somewhere. I'm getting ready to install 2 front belts in the back seat. Search for it and you can find it pretty easily. It's a safe conversion since you are using same threaded torx bolts, secure mount points at roof, etc.

Thanks for the advice guys. I am just concerned about the safety of my family in a crash, my kids are still pretty young and the lap belts dont seem all that safe to me. I did find the link to the Rear Belts Again and I saw how they did it, totally cool. I think that may work for my 2 little ones. My other daughter is 12 so I think a lap belt might be ok for her.

Thanks again for your help!

Contrary to the "big heavy chunk of metal" theory, these things are not safe in a crash. They'll take a minor bump ok, but there are no crumple zones. I have seen FSJs in the junk yard that looked decent other than the bent front passenger compartment from hitting the car in front of them.

Just wanted to share with you guys, I did find a place that has the entire set. (4) 3 point harness seat belts and (2) lap belts. They also sell them individually. A bit pricy, but would make my jeep more safe for my kids.
