2004 Jeep grand cherokee limited 4x4 gear grind

Usually when the Jeep is still warming up, when i turn the wheels all the way to the left or the right, i hear a a whining of the gears, Im not sure if it would be defined as a gear grind. Any ways i was wondering if anyone else experienced this. Or if its normal.
