1987 Grand Wagoneer Flywheel problems

That piece of @#$& i replaced the starter and the flywheel and it still makes the zing noise. I have a 360 motor with a 727 drive train and the only problem i'm having with it is that! this thing is giving me a migrane! I almost get to the point i want to sell it but i love this thing cause when it gets started it runs like no other! but i can't figure this out why the starter is not engaging enough to catch the flywheel right or enough. the fly wheel i just took out only had a 1/4 of an inch off the teeth gone the rest of it was fine. Please help i want to drive my baby!

Well i figured that part out now i have to figure out why in the world so of the wires was laying against the engine and burnt up. I have to fix those wire as well as figuring out how to route them far enough away from the motor this won't happen again
