1984 wagoneer HELP

I need some help. I have to replace the throwout fork on a wagoneer. The new one does not look like the old one, will the newer design work without replacing everything?

In 1984 there were two different "wagoneers" available. One was the full size Grand Wagoneer (not sure if those were available with a manual transmission though), and the other was the smaller XJ wagoneer. Which wagoneer are we talking about here?? You may have the correct part, but it's for the wrong wagoneer.

Oh, here are a couple google pics to show the difference between the two.

try posting your question in the the xj section http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/ they would be more knowledgeable about your jeep.
