1980 j10 for $100

A friend has a 1980 j10 he will sell me for $100. 360, 727 auto, has been sitting for over a year. When they last ran it the key would not shut it off and they had to pull a dist. wire to kill it, and they brakes are shot. I was thinking of buying it and pulling the cab and bed off and build a tube frame on it. or save the motor, trans, axles for the wrangler The bed will be easy to pull, has anyone taken the cab off of one and how hard was it.
thanks
tdt
