Wj booster won't fit

So I picked up an 04 wj booster and mc to put in my 92 man and the rod is nearly identical length, the wj is 1/16 longer I think. Anyway, the booster hits the lip at the top and the drivers side where the bottle should go. My bottle is on the passenger side though.

Any suggestions? Will the 95/96 xj be a better fit? Do I just grind out the problem spots on the body? Anybody know what the deal with this is? I've read and read for two weeks to make sure I have everything right and now I run into this. Thanks for any input.
