Will Cherokee Seats fit the Comanche?

I see dozens of nice aftermarket Jeep front bucket seats for sale, but they always say fits Cherokee. DOes anyone know if these will bolt to the Comanche seat rails?
The measurements seem to be ideal for a fit in the Comanche . Just need to know if they will bolt up.

I would guess there wouldnt need to be any modification, since some comanche's came with optional Buckets, which look the same as the XJ. I may be wrong.

It all depends on what year cherokee were talking. Older xjs(pre HO) seats should fit as the tranny tunnel and seat mounting brackets are the same as an mj.. the newer ho xjs used a different tunnel and very different seat brackets... and i belive the seats dont bolt into the brackets the same eather. I looked into this when i wanted to put a bench seat in my 95 xj. I thought it would be pretty cool .. makes for some nice riding time with the gf .. but if ur not into that. maby a bucket is the way to go lol

XJ and MJ bucket seat mounts are NOT the same.

If you use the XJ mounts in the MJ your head will touch the ceiling.

i threw in buckets from a 91 XJ in to my 87 'manche. We had to do some fabrication to the mounting hardware - they didn't just bolt right in. I sit a tad high now, but I like it. And the lumbar control is totally sweet to have

He's asking about aftermarket specifically and since there are slight differences between the various XJ seats and MJ seats, the aftermarket assemblies may need some minor tweaking to fit.

I put in a bench seat in my 96 xj out of a comanche. I took a little fabing of seat rails but it was not that hard. I need a bench because of a large family and not wanting to get rid of the XJ.

I've noticed that different years have different floor mounts too. Not sure what the ranges are, but '84 to '87 are different from '90/'91.
