Transmission not staying in gear, cant shift into gear

I have a 88 Comanche 5-speed Manual and something mainly on cold starts I will not be able to **** into second it will grind but it will go into 3rd 4th and 5th with no problem. also if i am going over 10MPH I cant not put it into 2nd bc it will grind. It will also pop out of gear occasionally. and also be hard to get into gear.
While letting out the clutch minly on cold starts it seems to shift really hard.

What do you think?
I have been told pressure plate, clutch

I am also having the same problem with my 88 YJ. It only does it in reverse though. It pops out unless I hold it in.I would like to see if you get a response.

Thank You
Jason

Its a known issue with your transmission, if you google search upgrade parts for it you'll find some fixes.

I upgraded to a AX-15 for the 4X4 Conversion
No problems anymore
