throttle body to Carburetor conversion

Hi guys,

I have a 1989 Jeep Camanche with a 2.5 litre 4 cylinder engine. It has a large throttle body fuel injection bolted to an intake manifold.

I've had a lot of issues with the sensors, vaccum lines, and fuel ratio.

I would really like to simple replace the throttle body fuel injector with a simple carburetor. I'm guessing I would need some sort of large single barrel carburetor for it to be a bolt on and go replacement for the throttle body?

I'm not sure what kind or type of carburetor to look for. Do any of you guys have any ideas? Anyone ever done something like this much before?

thanks!
Mike.

Get an intake manifold and carb from an 84 or 85 Cherokee 4 cylinder. but why can't yours be fixed?

If you own a Renix Jeep, you'll want to check this out.
