testing a cd player

how can i go about testing my cd player to see if it is working? whats the easiest way

testing a stereo

Get a 12 volt battery or a power supply that puts out 12 volts and a test speaker. Take both the red and yellow wires twist them together those will go to the + and take the black wire and it goes to - then it should power on and you can use white & white/black front left speaker , gray & gray/black front right , then green & green/black rear left , and violet & violet/black rear right that should get it powered up and be able to test it .
Addicted to Jeeps , had 1994 YJ, &1994 XJ, Have now 1997 XJ, 1996 XJ, &my project 1989 MJ, just bought another 89 MJ with a 4 cyl.
