Performance chips for MJ

There are a number of companies offering performance chips to boost the performance of the ECU. They promise both horsepower and MPH improvements. However, independent reviews of these chips indicate that many of those companies are snake oil salesmen whose products are ineffective or actually degrade performance. Does anyone recommend a chip that actually delivers?

No such thing, especially for your 89. Snake oil it is.

Those companies offer chips for every make, model and year of auto/truck. They just substitute any make and model into their description - as if they have a chip customized for every vehicle that was ever made. Pffft.

I think it's just a resistor for the cTS to fool the eCU.
