A nice build of a MJ

This guy is all over Naxja and Pirate. He has inspired me on some aspects of my upcoming winter build. here is a link to one of his pirate posts

yeah, brett seems to have built a serious rig there. On a much saner note, has anyone seen the MJ project in JP mag, I picked up his months at the parts store just becuase they showed a nice LA install. THey're lifting the rear next month, which is what I'm really interested in, since the back half of our trucks get's no loving from the aftermarket.

Are you talking about the $500 red MJ project?

It (and the owner) showed up at our monthly OC meet-and-greet last week. The rear lift is kinda funky. They kept the spring-under configuration and put on some super-arced leaf springs to get some height.

Pete said that the MJ is being built for the sand...and not the rocks.

I ran the Rubicon Trail with Brett this past June. Looking forward to seeing his rig next weekend in Johnson Valley.

The new issue is out and they used custom springs and boomerang shackles to achieve 6+ inches in the rear. they retain the SUA which surprised me a little. nice option though, I'd like to know what a set of custom springs like that will run... any clue? It's awesome that they are building an MJ and still keeping it usable for a DD. I'm just wondering what the $ total is so far ...I think it's more like the $5000 MJ project now and climbing
