Newbie

Just picked up a nice 91 Comanche with only 106k miles. Basic 2wd model in pretty good shape - zero rust, interior not trashed, needs brakes and a paint job but will make a very serviceable hauler.

One issue is that the glove compartment won't open. I can lock and unlock the latch but squeezing the buttons clearly isn't activating the lock mechanism. I tried popping it with a credit card but can't really figure out where the latch is inside.

Any suggestions? Even a pick of the inside of the box would be helpful. I'm convinced I can pop it if I can figure out where the release(s) is.

Thanks

Pull, and pry it, if it breaks go to the junkyard for a replacement.

Thanks

I'm more of a save and reuse kind of guy hoping not to have to resort to that, but I appreciate the input.

The way the latch is you may have no choice. Im the same way, if it will last a little longer, ill make it last a year longer.
